THE ISLANDS

San Cristobal: The Galapagos Islands Capital, your arrival airport on Thursday.

Lobos Island: It's a peaceful small Island separated by a channel from San Cristobal Island. It is a great place for snorkeling.

Gardner Bay: Coral white-sand beach with sea lions and mockingbirds. Good place for swimming and snorkeling.It has beautiful turquoise waters.Only in this Island we can find the Albatross bird nests.

Punta Suarez: Lava rocks trails dotted with nests of blue-footed boobies and Nazca masked boobies. Colonies of marine iguanas (endemic to the Island), waved albatrosses and a blow hole.Sea lions, Galapagos doves and three species of Darwin's finches.
Champion:Near Floreana Island with great snorkelling with sea lions.

Punta Cormorant: Home to an olive-crystal beach and greater flamingos inhabiting a secluded lagoon.White-sand beach where sea turtles nest.

Post Office: At Post Office Bay you can visit the famous barrel, a do-it-yourself postal service set up by 18th century whalers.

Santa Cruz Higlands: El Chato.-Home to Scalesia, Miconia, and Pampa vegetation zones.Birds in this area incluye the vermillion flycatcher, Galápagos rail, and Saint-billed cake.Giant tortoises.

Puerto Ayora: It is a charming town full of nice surprises to all its visitors, the populated part of Santa Cruz. A haven of scientific inquiry and information and a breeding spot for the famed giant tortoise.

Rabida: Famous for its red sandy beaches, it offers unique turquoise waters and beautiful lush green highlands. Is a good place to practice snorkeling and will also delight you with unforgettable sunsets.

Chinese Hat: Is a crazy little island looking just like a Chinese hat in the islands. You might just see a few Galapagos penguins and have a chance to see some mating eagle rays flopping in the water. There's quite a large islands sea lion community as well.

Bartolome: One of the most spectacular views of the Archipelago.Is a must for the visitor interested in Geology. Penguins are common in the bay area. Perfect place for Snorkeling.
Black Turtle Cove: In Santa Cruz Island.Its main attraction is the marine life with white-tipped sharks, turtles, golden mustard rays, as well as pelicans and lava herons. (panga ride).

South Plaza: Named in honor of a former president of Ecuador - General Leonidas Plaza.Home of land iguanas, sea lions, tropical birds, split trail seagulls and marine iguanas.
Santa Fe:Also called Barrington.Vegetation characterized by the presence of the largest species of the giant opuntia cactus.Animal species highlight: the Santa Fe land iguana and the Galapagos rice rat.

Interpretation Center: In Puerto Baquerizo Moreno on San Cristobal Island. Interpretation and Environment Education Project for the Galapagos Island, funded by the Government of Spain. A range of interpretative elements for the center, providing information on Galapagos and San Cristobal in particular. The Center focus primarily on the history of the archipelago.
